Title: Contrasto
Level: 6th Grade
Description: Working in black and white has always been an interesting challenge. In this lesson, students will be challenged to create a balanced composition that is interesting in only black and white using a new material. They will also be able to practice using different pressures with X-Acto knives on a special paper, Contrasto paper.

Objectives:
 | Students will be able to create a visually balanced composition. |

Sequence:
Day One:
| Intro to project and balance |
| Show examples |
| Start working on plan |
Day Two:
| Continue working on plan |
| Revisit the concept of balance |
Day Three:
| Demo of transferring to Contrasto paper & cutting |
| Transfer drawing to Contrasto |
| Start cutting. |
Day Four:
| Continue cutting carefully |
| Short discussion about pieces |
