Snowy Day Self Portraits

Description:
Winter inspired portraits including lots of details! From zippers on jackets to
stripes on hats, students will discover that their appearance changes when the
colder weather comes!
Objectives:
- students will be able to identify features of a self portrait
- students will be able to create a self portrait that clearly communicates to
the viewer the season in which the portrait was created
- students will be able to identify key features of the winter season and how it
will affect their self portrait
- students will be able to use tools and materials in a safe and respectful
manner

one:
- review "Self Portrait" vocabulary.
- how can we make a portrait that would work for this season? (What season is
it?)
- what are some details that can make this more interesting?
- Start work, pencil first
Day two:
- continue working
- share self portraits
