Title: Watercolor Monoprints
Level: Elementary School
Description: A fun
activity to do with younger students, they will be able to explore a new
technique using watercolors.
Objectives:
- students will be able to consider their color choices
- students will be able to manipulate watercolor paints in a variety of ways.
Materials:

Sequence:
Day one:
- discussion
- tape plastic wrap to tabletop, making sure that you have taped all of the
edges completely
- paint an image using the watercolors onto the plastic wrap
- Place a piece of drawing paper over the painted image
- press down on the paper to make sure that the image transfers
- drawing paper should absorb the watercolors, creating a monoprint
- wipe off the plastic wrap with a paper towel so that it is clean for the next
use
